Julissa M. Baez

Julissa Baez is a career coach, instructional designer, and workforce development professional living and thriving in New York City. A native of the Dominican Republic, Julissa is a proud Baruch College alumna and has played several roles at the City University of New York. Her career in public service started over a decade ago as a community liaison for the New York State Assembly. It was through this experience that she developed an interest in economic policy, particularly in sectors that drive economic mobility for workers.
Before Break Through Tech, she joined some of the major players in workforce development and K-16 initiatives in New York, working to provide relevant career training, work-based learning, and access to living wages for vulnerable populations.
