DC Metro Area

The DC Metro Area is the second location in our national expansion.

In 2021, Break Through Tech launched its first cross-institutional collaboration, partnering with George Mason University (GMU) and the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD) as part of an initiative led by Pivotal Ventures.

UMD and GMU

The DC Metro Area marks our first cross-institutional collaboration.

We will partner with both the University of Maryland, College Park, and George Mason University, both large research universities with strong computer science departments and demonstrated commitment to achieving gender equality in tech.
